The yarn: Colorful Yarn is spun in Eastern Pennsylvania in a tight ply, making it squishy and springy yet durable and excellent for patterns requiring stitch definition. Our superwash fingering weight, 100 percent merino, is fingering-weight yarn on the heavy side, 410 yards to 120 grams. You’ll get 8 to 6.5 stitches per inch on #1 to #3 needles. Our superwash worsted weight merino knits up at 5 stitches to the inch on #7 needles at 250 yards and 100 grams. Silk & Silver is a luxurious fingering weight of 63 percent superwash merino, 20 percent silk, 15 percent nylon and 2 percent sterling silver. Durable, washable, soft and sparkly - what more could you want. Use it for socks, scarves and highlights on sweaters. It comes in 50-gram, 200-yard skeins and knits up like the fingering.
